Person
Andriamasinavalona
Andriamasinavalona was a king of Imerina in the central highlands of Madagascar who ruled around 1675–1710. He extended the kingdom to its largest size before the nineteenth century but divided it among his sons, leading to nearly a century of rivalry and war between four Merina kingdoms. The realm was reunited only by Andrianampoinimerina at the end of the eighteenth century.
