Angitia
Angitia was an Italic goddess of healing and of snakes, worshipped especially by the Marsi around the Fucine Lake in central Italy. Her sacred grove, the Lucus Angitiae, stood near modern Luco dei Marsi. The Romans linked her cult with the Marsi's reputation as snake-charmers and healers, and later writers connected her with the sorceress Medea.
