Ankole-Watusi
The Ankole-Watusi is a breed of cattle known for its enormous horns, developed in the United States in the twentieth century from long-horned Sanga cattle of east-central Africa. Its ancestors include the Ankole cattle of the Bahima herders of Nkore in Uganda and the long-horned cattle of Rwanda and Burundi. In Nkore itself the long-horned herds were the chief measure of wealth and status and the basis of the Bahima diet of milk and butter.
