Bagyendanwa
Bagyendanwa is the royal drum of the Kingdom of Ankole (Nkore) in south-western Uganda. In Ankole tradition it was inherited by Ruhinda, founder of the Hinda dynasty, when Chwezi rule dissolved, and it embodied the kingship itself: it was kept in its own shrine, attended by its own keepers and given offerings. Possession of the drum was essential to a legitimate mugabe.
