Ayia Triada

Also known as Hagia Triada

Ayia Triada is a Minoan archaeological site in southern Crete, about three kilometres west of the palace of Phaistos. Its large Bronze Age villa and settlement were closely linked to Phaistos and became the leading centre of the Mesara plain after the palace was destroyed. Finds include the painted Ayia Triada sarcophagus and the largest single archive of tablets in the undeciphered Linear A script.
