Azemmour
Azemmour is a town on the Oum Er-Rbia river near its mouth on the Atlantic coast of Morocco. Portugal took it in 1513 as one of its chain of fortified posts on the coast, but abandoned it in 1541 after the Saadi capture of Agadir. Its walled medina still overlooks the river.
