Badis ibn al-Mansur
Badis ibn al-Mansur was the Zirid emir of Ifriqiya from 996 to 1016, ruling as a vassal of the Fatimid Caliphate. He placed his uncle Hammad ibn Buluggin in charge of the western lands, but in 1015 Hammad broke away and founded the independent Hammadid dynasty. Badis died in 1016 while besieging Hammad's fortress of Qal'at Beni Hammad.
