Badia Fiorentina
The Badia Fiorentina is a Benedictine abbey in the centre of Florence, founded in 978 by Willa, widow of the Margrave of Tuscany, and richly endowed by her son Hugh, whose tomb by Mino da Fiesole stands in the church. Its tall bell tower is a city landmark, and the abbey was closely linked with Dante's Florence.
