Baiyue

Also known as Hundred Yue

The Baiyue, or Hundred Yue, were the various non-Chinese peoples of southern China and northern Vietnam in the first millennium BCE, living in states such as Minyue, Nanyue and Ouyue. The Qin conquered much of their land in the late 3rd century BCE, and the Han dynasty absorbed their kingdoms by 110 BCE, gradually assimilating them into Chinese culture.
