Bali Strait
The Bali Strait is the narrow channel, only about 2.4 kilometres wide at its narrowest, that separates eastern Java from Bali in Indonesia and links the Bali Sea with the Indian Ocean. Ferries cross it between Ketapang near Banyuwangi and Gilimanuk on Bali. It has long been a route for trade and migration between the two islands.
