c. 1100 · 12th century

The Baška tablet is a stone slab from the church of St Lucy at Jurandvor near Baška, on the island of Krk in Croatia, dated to around 1100. Its inscription in Glagolitic script records King Zvonimir's gift of land to the Benedictine abbey there, and it is one of the oldest and most important monuments of the Croatian language and literacy.
