Basti (Iberia)
Basti was the chief town of the Bastetani, an Iberian people of south-eastern Spain, on the hill of Cerro Cepero near modern Baza in the province of Granada. It continued as a Roman town. Its necropolis yielded the Lady of Baza, a painted stone statue of an enthroned woman used as a cinerary urn, found in 1971.
