Andalusia

Also known as Andalusian

Andalusia is a region of southern Spain, whose name derives from al-Andalus. Its cities, including Seville, Córdoba and Granada, were centres of Islamic culture and power. It was a core territory of the Almoravid Empire and the Almohad Caliphate, whose rulers built monuments there, before it fell largely to Castile in the thirteenth century.
