Almohad Caliphate
The Almohad Caliphate was a Berber Muslim empire founded on the religious reform movement of Ibn Tumart and established as a state by Abd al-Mu'min in the twelfth century. It overthrew the Almoravid Empire and ruled the Maghreb and al-Andalus, promoting a strict doctrine of divine unity. After its defeat at Las Navas de Tolosa in 1212 it declined, and it collapsed in the thirteenth century.
