Battle of Bulgnéville
The Battle of Bulgnéville was fought on 2 July 1431 in Lorraine between René of Anjou and Antoine of Vaudémont, rival claimants to the Duchy of Lorraine. Supported by Burgundian troops and English archers, Antoine routed René's larger army and took him prisoner, handing him to Philip the Good of Burgundy. René kept the duchy but had to pay a heavy ransom.
