Battle of Jena–Auerstedt
The twin battles of Jena and Auerstedt were fought on 14 October 1806 in Thuringia: Napoleon defeated part of the Prussian army at Jena, while Marshal Davout routed the main Prussian force at Auerstedt. The collapse of the Prussian army that followed let French troops enter Berlin within two weeks, and Prussia lost about half its territory at the Peace of Tilsit in 1807.
