Beauchamp family

Also known as Beauchamps

The Beauchamps were an English noble family who held the earldom of Warwick from 1268 until the 1440s. Richard Beauchamp, 13th Earl of Warwick, gained the lordship of Glamorgan through his marriage to the Despenser heiress Isabel. After the death of their son Henry in 1446 and his young daughter, the inheritance passed by marriage to Richard Neville, the 'Kingmaker'.
