Beveridge Report
The Beveridge Report, officially Social Insurance and Allied Services, was a British government report written by the economist William Beveridge and published in December 1942. It proposed a comprehensive system of social insurance to attack the five giants of want, disease, ignorance, squalor and idleness, and became the blueprint for the post-war welfare state.
