Person
Bharavi
Bharavi was a Sanskrit poet of the sixth century, author of the Kiratarjuniya, an epic on Arjuna's combat with the god Shiva disguised as a mountain hunter. It is counted among the great court epics, or mahakavyas, and is noted for its dense meaning and elaborate verse. The Aihole inscription of 634 names him with Kalidasa, fixing a latest date for both poets.
