Bhupatindra Malla
Bhupatindra Malla was king of Bhaktapur, one of the three Newar kingdoms of the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal. A great builder, he raised the five-storey Nyatapola temple in 1702, the tallest pagoda in the valley, and enlarged the royal palace of fifty-five windows. His statue on a pillar still faces the palace in Bhaktapur's Durbar Square.
