Book of Exodus
The Book of Exodus is the second book of the Hebrew Bible, recounting the Israelites' departure from Egypt and the giving of the law at Sinai. Its legal section, known as the Book of the Covenant, shows parallels with the Code of Hammurabi. Scholars cite these parallels as evidence of the influence of the Babylonian Empire's legal tradition on later law.
