Boyle Abbey
Boyle Abbey is a ruined Cistercian monastery in Boyle, County Roscommon, Ireland, founded in 1161 as a daughter house of Mellifont. Its church, completed in the early 13th century, combines Romanesque and Gothic features. The MacDermots of Moylurg were its patrons; it was suppressed in the 16th century and later used as a military barracks.
