Bujangga Manik

15th–16th century · 15th century

Bujangga Manik is an Old Sundanese poem of about 1,600 lines, preserved in a single palm-leaf manuscript held in the Bodleian Library at Oxford since 1627. It tells of a Sundanese prince of the Pakuan court who became a hermit and travelled through Java and to Bali, and its many place names make it a key source for the geography of the Sunda Kingdom.
