Bunyoro Agreement (1933)
The Bunyoro Agreement was signed in 1933 between the British colonial government of the Uganda Protectorate and Omukama Tito Winyi IV. It gave Bunyoro formal recognition as an agreement kingdom, comparable to Buganda, Toro and Ankole, with a defined role for the omukama and his chiefs under British supervision. It did not restore the lost counties transferred to Buganda in 1900.
