Bushenyi District

Bushenyi District is a district in western Uganda, in the former Ankole region. Its green hills grow tea, coffee and bananas. Before colonial rule part of its area formed the small Kingdom of Igara, which was absorbed into the British-backed kingdom of Ankole under the Ankole Agreement of 1901 and survives as Igara county.
