Busiris
Busiris was an ancient Egyptian city in the central Nile Delta, near present-day Abusir Bana. Its Greek name comes from the Egyptian Per-Usir, house of Osiris, and it was the god's chief cult centre in Lower Egypt. In the Third Intermediate Period it was ruled by Libyan chiefs of the Ma until the Kushite and Saite kings ended their independence.
