Cal Madow

Cal Madow is a mountain range in northern Somalia, running east to west near the Gulf of Aden coast, mainly in the Sanaag region and into Bari. Its highest point, Shimbiris, at about 2,400 metres, is the highest mountain in Somalia. The range holds juniper forests and frankincense and myrrh trees, whose resins were long traded through ports such as Las Khorey.
