Cam Ranh Bay

Cam Ranh Bay is a deep natural harbour in Khánh Hòa province on the south-central coast of Vietnam. The Russian Baltic Fleet anchored there in 1905 on its way to Tsushima, the United States built a large base there during the Vietnam War, and from 1979 to 2002 it was the main Soviet and then Russian naval base abroad. It remains an important Vietnamese naval base.
