Cape Province
The Cape Province was the largest of the four provinces of the Union, and later Republic, of South Africa, formed from the Cape Colony in 1910, with its capital at Cape Town. It kept a limited non-racial franchise longer than the other provinces, until apartheid laws removed it. In 1994 it was divided into the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Northern Cape, with a small part going to North West.
