Cheitharol Kumbaba
The Cheitharol Kumbaba is the royal chronicle of Manipur, kept by court scribes in the Meitei language and script. It records the reigns of the kings of the Ningthouja dynasty year by year, beginning with Nongda Lairen Pakhangba, traditionally in 33 CE, and continuing into the 19th century. Its early sections are legendary, but the later entries form a detailed contemporary record.
