Ningthouja dynasty

The Ningthouja dynasty, of the Mangang clan of the Meitei, ruled Manipur from the founding traditionally dated to 33 CE until the kingdom merged with India in 1949. Its kings, starting with Nongda Lairen Pakhangba, gradually brought the other Meitei clans of the Imphal valley under their rule. The royal chronicle, the Cheitharol Kumbaba, records their reigns.
