Also known as Cumilla

Comilla, officially Cumilla, is a city in south-eastern Bangladesh, near the Indian border with Tripura. The surrounding region was the heart of ancient Samatata, and the nearby Mainamati hills hold the ruins of Buddhist monasteries such as Shalban Vihara. It is now the headquarters of Comilla district.
