Common Program
The Common Program was the provisional constitution of the People's Republic of China, adopted by the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference on 29 September 1949. It defined the new state as a people's democratic dictatorship led by the working class and set out a coalition with other classes and parties. It was replaced by the first constitution of the People's Republic in 1954.
