Corfu Declaration

1917 · 20th century

The Corfu Declaration was an agreement signed on 20 July 1917 on the Greek island of Corfu by the Serbian government in exile under Nikola Pašić and the Yugoslav Committee under Ante Trumbić. It proposed a single kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes under the Serbian Karađorđević dynasty, with equal status for their names, flags, alphabets and religions, and became the basis of the kingdom proclaimed in 1918.
