Cotabato City

Cotabato City is a port on the Mindanao (Pulangi) River in the southern Philippines, the historic seat of the Sultanate of Maguindanao. Spain occupied it in 1861, and the Americans after 1899. It is now the seat of government of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
