Covenant of Kuiqiu
The Covenant of Kuiqiu was an assembly of Chinese feudal lords convened by Duke Huan of Qi in 651 BCE at Kuiqiu, in present-day Henan. King Xiang of Zhou sent his representative with sacrificial meat to honour Duke Huan, confirming his position as hegemon, or ba. The meeting is regarded as the high point of Duke Huan's leadership of the Zhou states in the Spring and Autumn period.
