Craigellachie, British Columbia
Craigellachie is a place in Eagle Pass in the interior of British Columbia, Canada, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven on 7 November 1885. The ceremony, performed by the railway's director Donald Smith, completed the line from Montreal to the Pacific and fulfilled the promise that had brought British Columbia into Confederation in 1871.
