Dalian
Dalian is a port city in Liaoning province, China, near the southern tip of the Liaodong peninsula. Russia founded it in 1898 as the commercial port of Dalny within its Kwantung lease, and after 1905 Japan developed it as Dairen, headquarters of the South Manchuria Railway Company and one of East Asia's busiest harbours. It returned to China after 1945 and now includes Lüshunkou, the former Port Arthur.
