Dhatusena
Dhatusena was a king of the Anuradhapura Kingdom in Sri Lanka who reigned from about 455 to 473. He drove out South Indian rulers who had seized the north of the island, restored Buddhist institutions and built great irrigation works, above all the Kala Wewa reservoir. He was overthrown and killed by his son Kashyapa I, who later built the rock fortress of Sigiriya.
