Dieuze

Dieuze is a small town in the Moselle department of north-eastern France, on the Seille. Its salt springs were worked from the Middle Ages, and the saltworks of Dieuze were a major source of income first for the dukes of Lorraine and later for the French crown. The writer Edmond About was born there in 1828.
