Diodorus Siculus

1st century BCE · 1st century BCE

Diodorus Siculus was a Greek historian from Agyrium in Sicily who wrote the Bibliotheca historica, a universal history in forty books from mythical times to about 60 BCE. Fifteen books survive complete and others in fragments. Because he drew closely on earlier writers whose works are lost, his history preserves much information, including his descriptions of the Celtiberians and other peoples of the West.
