Celts
The Celts were the Iron Age peoples of Europe who spoke Celtic languages, spread from Iberia and the British Isles to the Danube and Anatolia. Associated with the Hallstatt and La Tène cultures, they sacked Rome around 390 BCE, invaded Greece in 279 BCE and settled in Galatia. Most of their lands were conquered by Rome, but Celtic languages survive in Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Brittany.
