Dizak
Dizak was one of the five Armenian melikdoms of Karabakh, known as the Khamsa, in the south of the region. Ruled by the Melik-Avanian family, descended from Avan Yuzbashi, it kept its autonomy under the Safavids and Nader Shah but was subordinated to the Karabakh Khanate in the second half of the eighteenth century.
