Dmitrov
Dmitrov is a town in Moscow Oblast, Russia, about 65 kilometres north of Moscow. It was founded in 1154 by Yuri Dolgoruky, who named it after the patron saint of his newborn son Vsevolod, baptised Dmitry. Its earthen ramparts and 16th-century Cathedral of the Dormition survive, and it later served as an appanage of Moscow princes.
