Dolon Nor

Also known as Duolun

Dolon Nor, now Duolun in Inner Mongolia, is a town on the steppe north of Beijing. In 1691 the Kangxi Emperor held a great assembly there at which the Khalkha Mongol princes, driven south by the Dzungar ruler Galdan, formally submitted to the Qing dynasty. The Khalkha khanates were then reorganised as Qing banners and leagues.
