Dudenev's raid
Dudenev's raid was a punitive campaign by an army of the Golden Horde under the commander Dudenev (Duden), sent by Tokhta Khan in 1293 at the request of Andrei of Gorodets against his brother, Grand Prince Dmitry of Pereslavl. The army sacked Vladimir, Suzdal, Moscow, Kolomna and some fourteen other towns of north-eastern Rus'. Dmitry fled, and Andrei received the grand principality.
