Dmitry of Pereslavl
Dmitry of Pereslavl (Dmitry Alexandrovich) was the second son of Alexander Nevsky, prince of Pereslavl-Zalessky and grand prince of Vladimir for most of the period from 1276 to 1293. His rivalry with his brother Andrei of Gorodets set the khans of the Golden Horde against Nogai, who backed Dmitry, and led to repeated Mongol interventions. Driven out by Dudenev's raid in 1293, he died the following year.
