Dzibanche
Dzibanche is a Maya archaeological site in southern Quintana Roo, Mexico, occupied from the late Preclassic period. Inscriptions show that it was the seat of the Kaan, or snake-head, dynasty in the 5th and 6th centuries CE, before the dynasty moved to Calakmul in the 7th century. Its buildings include the Temple of the Owl and the Temple of the Captives.
