Eildon Hills

The Eildon Hills are a group of three volcanic summits above Melrose in the Scottish Borders. Their triple peak gave its name to Trimontium, the Roman fort built beneath them at Newstead. The hills are also rich in legend, linked with Thomas the Rhymer and tales of King Arthur.
