Emporio (Chios)

Emporio is a harbour site on the south coast of Chios in Greece, excavated by the British School at Athens in the 1950s. It revealed a long-lived Bronze Age settlement with links to the Minoan and Mycenaean worlds, and an Archaic hilltop town of the seventh and sixth centuries BCE with houses, a megaron hall and a sanctuary of Athena.
